We are located on fifteen acres of fields, streams, and wildlife forest, inspiring the creative potential of body, mind, and spirit! The unique gifts of each individual are honored and enhanced through mindful instruction and encouragement, learning to co-create a world of beauty while building useful skills, good relations, and the experience of joyful accomplishment.

##pidorpidor## The season of summer brings warmer days, ripened fruit in the field, and a grand display of nature in full bloom with butterflies gracing the landscape. Art projects, stories, creative movement, music, and outdoor explorations, inspired by our natural environment, nourish the healthy growth of the children. Plenty of time for water play and a picnic lunch complement our morning of activities altogether.

##pidorpidor## Earth, Wind, Water and Fire - the elements of life are everywhere around us and even part of who we are! In this week the children deepen their awareness of the qualities of these elements through direct sensorial experiences, creating works of art, stories, movement and sounds which reflect their unique perceptions. Water, the very essence of life on Earth, will capture our main focus during this week with a variety of activities which reveal its energy potential within ourselves and the environment.

##pidorpidor## Discover the spirals in nature and uncover part of the mystery of this physical force appearing in pine cones, sea shells, mushrooms, and even in the human body. Learn to construct and use tools to measure the golden mean, a fundamental law in the harmony of proportion and dynamic balance as represented in the golden spiral and natural life growth process. Experiments, art projects, and mapping a large spiral on the land for a unique movement and sound creation will all be part of this curious week of adventure.

##pidorpidor## In late summer, beautiful insects such as dragonflies, butterflies and rickets abound, wherin yet again, another extraordinary outdoor treasure quest will be guided. in addition to the creative use of rhymes and riddles to guide as "clues", the participants will also learn to use a compass and make maps to find their way as seekers of great adventure. Additional documentation of daily explorations of the environment's seasonal ecology will be kept with a "passport booklet" marked by each individual's unique stamp.

##pidorpidor## THE MAGIC AND MEDICINE OF PLANTS Saturdays, June 9, July 7, August 4
##pidorpidor## An exploration of plant life present in our environment and on the planet, examining their properties of form and function with an introduction to botony and ecology. We will share stories about how the plants have received their names, preserve and record our collected specimens along with noting beneficial uses in cooking and as traditional folk medicine. Artistic creations with plant materials, preparations of foods, teas, and an herbal remedy will be enjoyed during this time together.
